1992-1993 normal series plate. CT = Cantemir. In 1993, the country designation was changed from MLD to MD.

Normal series plate. T = Tiraspol. Transnistria is the part of Moldova mainly east of the river Dnjepr. It is de facto independent, but internationally not recognized. It has all the functions of a country, and also issues its own license plates. To the left is the Transnistrian flag above a security hologram, which has the registration number printed on it.
