Law Enforcement Vehicle Plates

Since many of those plates are undated, I often have no clue when they were in use. I would appreciate any information on this.

	Alabama State Trooper.
	Alaska State Troopers plate for 1982.
	Colorado State Patrol. This plate is made of very thick and heavy metal. Since it is a bit smaller than today's standard size, I assume it is from the 1950s or earlier.
	District of Columbia Police Department.
	Idaho city owned vehicle, BPD = Boise Police Department.
	Illinois State Police plate, later undated type (probably after the mid-1980s).
	Illinois Secretary of State Investigator for 1978/1979. Does anyone know what are the functions of such an investigator?
	Iowa Sheriff.
	Louisiana State Police, early 1990s style.

	Maryland State Police, older plate type.

	Maryland Sheriff(?) plate for 1975.

	Michigan State Police. The colors are those of the Bicentennial passenger series, so it can be assumed that this is a 1976-1978 issue.
