Vatican license plate 1988 onwards private vehicle rear plate, CV = Città del Vaticano

These plates are very similar to the 1985-1994 Italian series, but only one line rear plates exist and they are in one piece. The CV series started at 03000. Before 1988, only official vehicles (SCV prefix) were registered by Vatican authorities, private vehicle owners residing within the Vatican City State had to use Italian plates.
