I have a huge collection of Canadian plates, which I have not yet photographed. As a place holder, I present here a few examples of Canadian plates. See the military forces abroad page for Canadian forces in Europe plates.

Canadian army plate. This series was introduced in 1968. Before that, army vehicles were registered by the provinces. Army plates are the only national issues in Canada.
Northwest Territories passenger plate for 1986.

Québec plate pair for 1967.

In other years, Québec issued only a rear plate, but for the Expo in 1967, special front plates were issued with the Expo logo taking the main space of the plate, and the actual license number being shown in very small characters at the bottom. Thre rear plate commemorates the Canadian confederation centennial. To my knowledge this is the only plate pair ever issued where the front and the rear plate commemorate different events.
